I am so excited that you are interested in choosing us to document your family! I believe in real moments and chasing sunsets. In the kinds of images that remind you of the joy that can be found in the simplest of moments together. I believe in images that are itching to be printed, placed in beautiful frames and hung on walls for years to come.
I began capturing images when my youngest daughter was born. I spent my very first pregnancy and newborn stage during the pandemic and did not have a real opportunity to document this special time in my life with portraits and I wish so badly I could get that time back and freeze those moments forever. My passion for photography was born in trying to freeze time with my daughter as she was growing up way too fast. Whenever I pick up my camera, we strive to create beautiful and emotional images that tell a story and showcase the beauty of both the people in the images and the world around them.

After photographing hundreds of portrait sessions over the past few years, I’ve found that I'm not the perfect fit for every family. That’s why this process begins with a conversation. I want to hear everything—how you met, your birth story, anything that makes you and your family unique.
We’ll get to know one another, talk about the details of your session, answer any questions you might have about working with me and figure out if we’re the best fit for each other.
Once your date is reserved, we'll connect to start chatting about possible locations for your session. I generally recommend choosing one location and if it's a place you haven't been before, it might be helpful to visit during the time our session will take place.
That way you have an idea of the light, crowds, closing time, etc! If you're not sure about where you would like to take your photos but you have a general idea of the look you would like, just let us know because we would be happy to recommend a few locations based on your aesthetic!

If picking out outfits for photos takes you back to your high school days when you literally tried on everything in your closet and piled it on your bed but still felt like you had nothing to wear, you're in luck.
We put together an extensive outfit suggestion guide with tips for every member of the family (even Fido!). I also offer complimentary use of my client closet for mamas for any studio session.

On the day of your session, we'll connect to make sure the weather still looks like it's going to corporate. We'll exchange numbers and finalize our meeting location. Please plan for your session to take about 30 minutes to an hour from start to finish (newborn sessions are up to two hours).

The sooner the better! My weekends tend to fill up pretty quickly - especially during the spring and fall, so the sooner you reach out to me, the more likely you are to get your desired date!
To reserve your date, we'll need a contract as well as a retainer. And if something comes up and you need to change your date, just let me know!
Unless you've modeled professionally, you're probably going to feel awkward in front of the camera. Heck, I take photos for a living and we even feel like a deer in the headlights when we're in front of the camera.
You're going to feel awkward at first, but as the session goes on and I coach you through images, I think you'll find that being photographed can actually be fun. And don't worry about your kids. I'm well versed in capturing even the busiest of little ones.
Within a few weeks of your session, you'll receive a link to a digital gallery that will allow you to download high resolution images.
The gallery is also set up to make ordering prints, canvases and other keepsakes as easy as turning on a Roomba to clean your floors. No worrying about tricky things like color correction, DPI and image format.
No one wants to look like a wet dog in their photos so if it looks like it's going to rain, snow, hail or some other weather catastrophe, I'll be in touch via email or phone to reschedule.
Often, when we're scheduling our initial portrait session date, if it works for our calendars, we'll actually set up both a main date and a rain date just to make sure we don't have to postpone your session for very long if the weather is bad on the original date.
